Shiloh Christian
Shiloh Christian Church will celebrate its 30th anniversary on Sunday, July 20. Bishop F.J. Matthews will speak during the 11 a.m. worship hour. Lunch will follow the service. Dr. Tyrone K. Ashley of Redeeming Love Missionary Baptist Church will speak at 3:30 p.m. Shiloh Church is on Durham Street in Smithfield.

Evangelist to speak
Evangelist Hattie Lofton of Smithfield will speak at 11 a.m. Sunday, July 20, at Warren's Chapel Church, 5270 U.S. 301 North, Micro. Lofton will speak at 7:30 p.m. July 23-25 at Johnston Chapel United Holy Church in Dudley. For directions to the Dudley church, call Lofton at 934-9653.

VBS at Mount Zion
Vacation Bible School is scheduled from 6:30 till 8:45 p.m. July 21-25 at Mount Zion United Methodist Church, 15772 N.C. 50 in the Cleveland community. Thanksgiving VBS
Vacation Bible School for all ages is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. July 16-18 and 10 a.m. July 19 at Thanksgiving Baptist Church. The church is at 6701 N.C. 42 East between Buffalo Road and N.C. 96. For more information, call the church office at 965-3204.

Power of Praise
Revival services are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. July 23-25 at Power of Praise Tabernacle of Deliverance, 1100 S. Market St., Benson.

Union Hill AME
A Women's Day program is scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday, July 20, at Union Hill AME Church, 50 Harrison Road, Wilson's Mills. The Rev. Christine Allen will speak, and a group from Brighter Hope Church in Clayton will sing.

Howell Chapel Church
Community Day will get under way at noon Saturday, July 19, at Howell Chapel Church of Christ, 214 E. Preston St., Selma. The day will feature a gospel comedian, gospel music, guest speaker Jackie Lacy and a host of activities, including a basketball jam, dunking booth and face painting. Howell Chapel will celebrate Family and Friends Day at 10:45 a.m. Sunday, July 20.

VBS at Bethesda
Vacation Bible School is scheduled from 6:30 till 8:30 p.m. July 13-18 at Bethesda Baptist Church, 4967 U.S. 70 Business between Clayton and Smithfield. The school is for children from age 3 through sixth grade. The church will serve dinner at 6 p.m. daily. Women of the Bible
A program titled “Women of the Bible” is scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday, July 20, at Mitchener Memorial Baptist Church, 911 Blount St., Smithfield. The following will speak: Glenda Richardson of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Martha Cozart of Oakey Grove Baptist Church and Sherreda Jenkins of Interstate Ministries. A choir from Holy Temple Church will sing.

St. Peter's Church
An appreciation service for Faye Johnson is scheduled for 4 p.m. Sunday, July 20, at St. Peter's Church of Christ, 1011 Massey St., Smithfield. Pastor Nannie Stevens of Spring Hope Church will speak.

Warren's Chapel
A Women's Day program is scheduled for 11 a.m. Sunday, July 20, at Warren's Chapel Original Free Will Baptist Church in Micro. Evangelist Hattie Lofton of Smithfield will speak, and a choir from Southern Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Kenly will sing.

VBS in Four Oaks
Vacation Bible School is scheduled from 6 till 8:30 p.m. July 20-24 at Four Oaks United Methodist Church, 302 N. Church St., Four Oaks.

VBS at Elizabeth
Vacation Bible School for children ages 3-12 is scheduled from 2 till 6 p.m. Saturday, July 19, at Elizabeth United Methodist Church, 4269 Cleveland Road west of Smithfield. A women's fellowship is scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday, July 19, at Greater St. Bethel United Holy Church, 11441 Claude Lewis Road, Middlesex. Minister Jackie Edmondson of Ellis Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Wilson will speak. A service titled "The Twelve Tribes of Judah" will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Greater St. Bethel.
