I read the June 11 article about speeders in Clayton with interest. I am a resident of West Stallings Street, between O’Neil Street and the park in Clayton. There are young children living on this street, and I am afraid that one day one is going to dart out in the street and is going to get hit by a car.

Any night, between 5:30 p.m. and the time the games end at the park, the speeders are really bad. They don’t know what 25 mph means. The police could probably give out tickets right and left. They just need to sit anywhere out of sight, and they would be surprised at the speeders who are on this street. Stop signs really don’t mean anything; the speeders just roll right on through.
